Miatlin Zhezha
Hailed by The Hartford Courant for his “expressive and warm sound, and faultless intonation,” Albanian-born Mialtin Zhezha is a versatile violinist and violist.
Since his solo debut with the National Orchestra at the age of 13 in Tirana, he maintains a broad performing career. Mr Zhezha serves as concertmaster of the Mozart Orchestra of New York, as well as principal player of New York Chamber Soloists and Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra.
He is a visiting artist at Western Michigan University and the Albanian International Academy of the Arts. He has served as an adjudicator of “Vivo”, “Rising Stars”, and “IMONYC” International Competitions.
Mr. Zhezha’s awards include “Islam Petrela”, “Nicola Piccini”, “Young Artist” International violin competitions, and “Best Classical Performance of the Year” by the “Downbeat” Magazine. His mentors include Pinchas Zukerman, Patinka Kopec, Lawrence Dutton, and Renata Knific.
